RESIDUAL ENERGY

                                                                                                 

This is the most common form of haunting. It can manifest visually or as sound or as both together. We’ve all heard the stories of the footsteps coming down the hardwood floors of the hallway “….and when I opened the door, no one was there!”  Or the ghostly figure dressed in clothes from the 1800’s who walks through walls. Usually upon investigation, it comes to light that in the 1800’s there was a doorway at this location or no wall at all.   The main factor here is that the figure has no conscience intelligence associated with it. Your are observing an event which took place some time in the past and through some process unknown to us became impregnated on the location or the atmosphere of the location. Much the same as viewing a movie because though appearing intelligent, it cannot be interacted with. At N E S P I we are attempting to determine what actually triggers the manifestation. We are researching and measuring components such as the salinity content of the air, barometric pressure, temperature, Geomagnetic Field readings, Relative Humidity, Solar flare activity, etc, in an effort to find out which element or combination of elements and in what quantities are necessary to allow the residual energy to manifest. 

ENTITIES

The New England Society of Paranormal Investigators defines an Entity as a visible or non-visible being demonstrating the use of conscience intelligence. An Entity can be further subcategorized into two distinct sections:

Discarnate Human Being

Obviously, a living, breathing human being at one time but is now deceased. It seems apparent that this spirit retains much, if not all, of it’s “living” personality. That is, the thoughts, feelings and emotions held as a living being continue to exist without the physical form. It is speculated by many that these spirits do not know that they are dead or are trapped here either because of unfinished business or they are incapable of leaving. I would disagree to the point that I believe they know full well they are dead because the New England Society of Paranormal Investigators, through intense EVP research, has discovered something no other group has talked about. THERE ARE RULES!  We will speak more on this at a later time.

Poltergeist           

In the Poltergeist category we include everything else from deceased animals to things that never lived as human. These are very rare and can be quite dangerous.  If you encounter this form of entity you will know immediately that you are probably in way over your head. These can launch vicious attacks against anyone in close proximity with no warning. Unless you have a great deal of experience with this type of Entity you are well advised to leave immediately. You will serve no purpose by endangering yourself, your team or your client. Get out and get professional help. There really is no clear understanding of what a poltergeist is or isn’t. However, it can be shown that such activity does in fact usually revolve around a young child with possibly psychokinetic energy.
